I have always liked observing and drawing people. I found a photo of Eugene Hutz in NYT magazine one weekend and thought I would try to make it into a portrait.

Expression Cloud Nine was the inspiration: in some cultures known as Seventh Heaven, perfectly happy, state of blissfulness.

For this portrait I found a snapshot taken at a toy store. A teenage girl with a huge pink bear. The image reminds me of David Lachapelle's photography - crazy and weird.

...Last known photograph of the mysteriously disappeared actress. She left for Europe from America before WWII and was never seen again. I used Greta Garbo for her reference, although the goal wasn't to create a look alike.
This character was originally created for Steven Stahlberg's online modelling class in fall 2005.
Modelled in 3dsmax6 and textured in Photoshop.
